OMG Prunes!

Alex has been backed up so I decided to give him prunes today. They are SO runny and such a mess. He got it on his hands and rubbed all over his face!

Tomorrow I will definitely add oatmeal to it to thicken a bit. Hope the prunes help!

Sophie and Celine Visit

Aunt Sophie and cousin Celine came to visit and meet Alex.  They arrived Thursday evening and departed Sunday lunch time. We had a nice time.

On Friday we had lunch at Armadillo Palace (a Goode company restaurant) and then in the afternoon went to St. Arnold's brewery for beer sampling and a tour.

On Saturday Celine and I went and got our nails done. Red for me, blue for Celine. The 3 girls then went shopping in the Rice Village shopping center and returned in time to watch the KY Derby. None of us picked "I'll Have Another".

Other than that we just hung out and played with Alex. Here are some pics from the weekend.

Happy Mother's Day

We had a nice first Mother's Day. We had lunch at El Tiempo on the patio and Alex behaved and stayed in his car seat the entire time. Mommy was able to eat two-handed! They gave all the moms a red rose.

Say Peas!

I gave Alex his first "real" food today, peas. I ordered a veggie and fruit variety baby food pack online and it is currently being shipped. Meanwhile I have some jars of Stage 1 peas from Rachel since Hunter refused them. Alex didn't resist and ate about half the jar. I promise to give him something tastier for his second food, maybe pears!

Day 4 of oatmeal

First Oatmeal and cold

On Monday I gave Alex his first serving of oatmeal. I made it pretty watery and he ate it all! I make it a bit thicker now and he still finishes but he sure does make a mess!

Alex also got a cold on Monday and a little fever. Poor boy. His eyes were really red and watery and he was congested and sneezing a lot. He seems to feel a lot better today but is still a bit congested.

4 Months!

Alex is 4 months old today! He now weighs 14lbs 3oz.
