18 months

Alex had his 18 month check up today and he is doing well. Here are his stats:

Height: 33.5" (80%)

Weight: 27# 10.5oz (71%)

Head circ: 49cm (80%)

He's really been growing. He spent his first year in the 30-40% range.

He's still not saying any words but he sure does think he is carrying on a conversation!

Colorado Springs

Alex and I visited Ted's family for a long weekend in June. I was nervous about flying alone with Alex, but we made it. He is a very busy and very squirmy boy. It didn't help that our return flight was delayed 2 hours!

We went to the Colorado Springs Zoo which was really nice, played at the park a lot and in their backyard. Alex sure does love to swing!

The Dibble boys also loved wrestling with Alex. All 3 would be wrestling him and he loved every minute of it. 

Alex is a silly monkey

He will climb anything! Here are some 

pics of him being silly and a monkey. He is determined to find something that will unlock the door. He has tried the metal snaps of suspenders, a Popsicle stick, a toy screwdriver, and pretzel sticks.

New House

We closed last Friday on our new, beautiful house. The previous owners are renting back for a couple weeks and we take possession mid July. We don't plan to move until we get our current house sold. Hoping it gets listed early next week!

Childproof Drawer Lock?

Alex is a determined and curious little man. Childproof drawer locks won't stand in his way. I posted the video to Kidco who made these and all sorts of other childproofing devices. I wonder if they will respond.

Wonderwild and the Swicks visit

The Swicks are in town. On Friday Alex and I went with Haley and Hunter and some of their old neighborhood friends to Wonderwild which is an indoor gym with lots of things to climb and slide. Alex had so much fun! I didn't get any pics of Hunter though :-(
