Landscaping

We had our landscaping redone which was a long time coming. It will need about 6mo to a year to mature and fill in but it looks so much better and cleaner than what was there.

 Backyard:
Extended grass, plants and mulch where there was gravel, no more weeds in the bird bath

It's too shady for grass to grow well back there. Oh well.

Bath time

Cute pic of Alex in the bath last night. Third day of eating prunes and still no results... Tomorrow will be one week. Poor boy.

OMG Prunes!

Alex has been backed up so I decided to give him prunes today. They are SO runny and such a mess. He got it on his hands and rubbed all over his face!

Tomorrow I will definitely add oatmeal to it to thicken a bit. Hope the prunes help!

OMG!

Sophie and Celine Visit

Aunt Sophie and cousin Celine came to visit and meet Alex.  They arrived Thursday evening and departed Sunday lunch time. We had a nice time.

On Friday we had lunch at Armadillo Palace (a Goode company restaurant) and then in the afternoon went to St. Arnold's brewery for beer sampling and a tour.

On Saturday Celine and I went and got our nails done. Red for me, blue for Celine. The 3 girls then went shopping in the Rice Village shopping center and returned in time to watch the KY Derby. None of us picked "I'll Have Another".

Other than that we just hung out and played with Alex. Here are some pics from the weekend.

Happy Mother's Day

We had a nice first Mother's Day. We had lunch at El Tiempo on the patio and Alex behaved and stayed in his car seat the entire time. Mommy was able to eat two-handed! They gave all the moms a red rose.

Say Peas!

I gave Alex his first "real" food today, peas. I ordered a veggie and fruit variety baby food pack online and it is currently being shipped. Meanwhile I have some jars of Stage 1 peas from Rachel since Hunter refused them. Alex didn't resist and ate about half the jar. I promise to give him something tastier for his second food, maybe pears!
